Random Musings
Do you ever get the feeling that you're surrounded by incompetent morons? It's moments like this that make me want to follow Justin's way of thinking and go live in a cave on some deserted island. Reading the blogs and newspapers, talking to my colleagues, thinking about the future...all of these things inevitably lead me to a depressing conclusion: We're all screwed.
It gets me to thinking about the meaning of life. I mean, why are we here on this planet? What is the point of it all. Would definitely love to hear your thoughts on this question.
I haven't started reading books like "Don't Jump" or anything, so don't get the wrong idea, I just wonder what all this is about. The daily grind, the pursuit of wealth, happiness, love, etc. Is it possible that life has no meaning, that it is chaos unleashed and you just wander through it making the best of what you've got? I guess I'm in a kind of philosophical sort of mood and need to embark on a kind of pilgrimage in search of answers to these questions. Any suggestions on books/authors that touch on these topics.
There's probably more to this thinking but I don't really have the time or energy to write it all down. Maybe I'll write part 2 later.

I think that this is a question a lot of people in our generation are asking themselves right about now. I don't know if i've reached the living in a cave point, yet. I definitely have been questioning many of the things I took for granted when we were growing up. I know that I can post a lot more because I only have one class. I know we probably have a lot of the same questions and have been doing some thinking about them.
Yeah, interesting thoughts. I'm really busy at work today, but I'll try and get a post up later.
